HTC Shift to ship this month

HTC Shift

The HTC Shift, a tiny Vista based UMPC, is set to finally hit the UK on the 19th of this month. According to the Expansys Web site the HTC Shift will go on sale with a price tag of £885. It was due to go on sale last November, and in January too.

The Shift measures 20.7 x 12.9 x 2.5cm and sports a 7in touchscreen. It can be used in tablet mode, or unfolded to reveal a Qwerty keyboard.

Camera: Built in CMOS VGA camera

OS: Microsoft Vista Business + Origami Pack

According to Expansys, the Shift comes network unlocked, meaning you can use it with any GSM provider you like, however it is significantly cheaper to buy it with a contract.

    Quite large, not something that you would like to put in your pocket. My HTC Tytn II only just fits!

    Still however prefer the looks of that Sony UMPC.

    I agree, and I don’t really fancy the idea of Vista on something that portable - would be interesting to see some benchmarks
